I never do this. But recently it feels like the whole world is falling all over me. My husband had a bunch of strokes last year which have rendered him disabled in several ways, one of the most prevalent being dementia/ amnesia. Think 50 First Dates. Because of that, i cant work. I have to be here for him most hours of the day. We've had no luck so far with disability, and now the hospital is after us for what his insurance didn't cover. Even paying our monthly bills is getting near impossible. So i guess I'm asking, if anyone has a moment, could you please put a prayer in for us? Life is tough already. It seems like it's worse every day. He's a ghost of the man I once knew, and now I have very little ability to pay for our very humble life. Not praying for a million bucks, just a chance to stay in the home we raised our kids and got married in, and the ability to keep the lights on. Thank you, and God bless.

Heavenly Father, please help this woman in all her needs. In Jesus' name, amen.
Where are your kids? Do they know your struggles? It might help your husband's memory to adjust his diet a little, by cutting carbs and increasing fat to make up the difference, adding a little MCT oil daily, vitamins B6 and B12, magnesium threonate (specifically that salt). These are the most helpful for least expense I can think of atm. No sympathy for the hospital as I'm sure they overcharged. They might have some ombudsman program. In some areas the utility companies have assistance programs. If you are on Medicare you might see if you also qualify for Medicaid due to loss of income. Don't be afraid to ask! Praying for angels for you.
I appreciate the advice and thank you...I've done alot to his diet....he has very little appetite and unfortunately with the brain damage came a rather large sweet tooth, so that's a challenge, but working on it. As far as medicaid, he's on it...they aren't wanting to cover the whole charge because at the time we had this scammer insurance company we found on the marketplace. We had no idea until he was already in the hospital. So we got screwed by them, and then by medicaid too. They don't like paying if they can get away with not.
Sometimes calling the hospital directly and explaining the situation will make them accept what they would’ve gotten from insurance instead of whatever they’re charging out of pocket. I don’t know if they’re allowed to do that if you did have coverage, but it can be worth a shot. I’ve heard of hospital billing administrators taking it upon themselves to find other funding for families in difficult situations.
They are very few and far between, but it may be worth seeing if a Frequency Specific Microcurrent practitioner thinks he or she could help your husband, and if they could do it at an affordable rate. It has done wonders for my nervous system after a TBI. Low dose naltrexone also helped tremendously.
Will be praying for you and your family. So sorry you’re going through so much.
