Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web at CERN for everyone. To celebrate 30 years since his first proposal, share your own #MyWeb30 video to say what the Web means to you.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Berners-Lee#Career_and_research
In 1989, CERN was the largest Internet node in Europe and Berners-Lee saw an opportunity to join hypertext with the Internet:
I just had to take the hypertext idea and connect it to the TCP and DNS ideas and—ta-da!—the World Wide Web. — Tim Berners-Lee[33]
Creating the web was really an act of desperation, because the situation without it was very difficult when I was working at CERN later. Most of the technology involved in the web, like the hypertext, like the Internet, multifont text objects, had all been designed already. I just had to put them together. It was a step of generalising, going to a higher level of abstraction, thinking about all the documentation systems out there as being possibly part of a larger imaginary documentation system. — Tim Berners-Lee
Berners-Lee was born on 8 June 1955 in London, England,[26] the eldest of the four children of Mary Lee Woods and Conway Berners-Lee; his brother Mike is a professor of ecology and climate change management. His parents were computer scientists who worked on the first commercially built computer, the Ferranti Mark 1
Berners-Lee married Nancy Carlson, an American computer programmer, in 1990. She was also working in Switzerland at the World Health Organization.[78] They had two children and divorced in 2011. In 2014, he married Rosemary Leith at the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace in London.[79] Leith is a Canadian Internet and banking entrepreneur and a founding director of Berners-Lee's World Wide Web Foundation.[80] The couple also collaborate on venture capital to support artificial intelligence companies.
After he became a parent, he became a Unitarian Universalist (UU).[82] When asked whether he believes in God, he stated: "Not in the sense of most people, I'm atheist and Unitarian Universalist."[83]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Rabbit_Project
White Rabbit is the name of a collaborative project including CERN, GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research and other partners from universities and industry to develop a fully deterministic Ethernet-based network for general purpose data transfer and sub-nanosecond accuracy time transfer. Its initial use was as a timing distribution network for control and data acquisition timing of the accelerator sites at CERN as well as in GSI's Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) project. The hardware designs as well as the source code are publicly available.[1]
The name of the project is a reference to the White Rabbit appearing in Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Seven Solution joins the White-Rabbit initiative in 2010
Seven Solutions joined the White Rabbit initiative at a very early stage back in 2010, as one of the first industrial partners. This translated into a remarkable collaboration opportunity with worldwide leading scientific institutions as CERN, GSI, NIKHEF or DESY.
Our early participation was partially funded by a R&D national grant in the framework of the national framework for Scientific Research, Development and Technology Innovation 2008-2011, “Program for supporting Industry for Science 2010”. The grant title was: “Research Project applied to the design of a high performance switch”. This represents a clear successful case of a public-private collaboration that transformed a small co-funded seed capital into a private initiative at Seven Solutions that eventually led to a full set of competitive products and services.
Seven Solutions is the original designer of the main and most advance device of the open hardware White-Rabbit ecosystem, the White-Rabbit Switch.
At a first stage, the target was timing systems for particle accelerators but soon the goal shifted to a much broader scope. This pushed the technology to evolve to a more general solution to be used on Astrophysics facilities, metrology institutes, Fintech datacenters or Radar applications.
White Rabbits users include research infrastructures and institutions as CERN, GSI, Fermilab, IFMIF, ELI-ALPS, ELI-BEAMS, EISCAT, KM3Net, CTA, SKA, DESY, ESS, PANOSETI, Berkeley, ProtoDUNE, ESA, DLR, ESRF, LHAASO and many others. Most of the Timing units of National Metrology Institutes around the world use this technology. In addition, many industrial companies from the Telecommunications, Smart Grid, automation, Fintech and other markets are right now users of this technology.

found while searching - look at THAT table of contents!!! Author: Colin Mason
From the book: "Two controlled studies in America in 2000 showed a marked increase in aggressive behaviour and delinquency in those who played violent video games. According to one expert on driver psychology and road rage, car racing video games induce more reckless and aggressive driving in the mostly youth- ful users."
