We have to say yes, based on the others things they've been thwarted on, such as the schedule of "variants" by month/year that got leaked, or going further back, the comms that were decoded showing a likely ff at an then-upcoming outdoor festival in the USA which was cancelled due to the exposure. I know there are more but this is what comes to mind atm.

That, or all the threats of Nuclear War by July 5th were greatly exaggerated...

I've thought that the warning they put out, if broadly enough acknowledged and openly reject, would some how restrain them to delay and go for a plan "b."

Exactly what I was thinking. Enough awareness was raised that they knew they wouldn't get away with it... yet.
