A girl I know had same thing happen to her with her son. She went to a different pediatrican and they put him on high doses of omega3 vitamins and other supplements to clean his brain of heavy toxins. He was 12 and started speaking at a 2 year old level. He also started socially smiling instead of looking spaced out in pics. Definitely look into something like that.
