Crimes against children have been going on for thousands of years. The first to address this was Jesus Christ, the world has had over 2 thousand years to ponder what he meant when he said whoever hurts these little ones cannot be saved, and they should just tie a millstone around their necks and jump into the water. What do you think he meant by this? I don't think it was about discipline or scolding them. It is not more prevalent now than it was then, it's just that no leader, religious or otherwise, ever mentioned it before Christ. Parents would sell their children for the purpose of sexual exploitation, children were murdered by their parents with no consequence, as the children were considered property. The world has had it's chance to stop this since Jesus Christ walked with men and women and shared meals and wisdom with them. It is time to peel back the tarp to expose what is underneath.
