I’m not trying to play devils advocate or anything here, but I can’t find much on the guy.
The Wiki page on OUR and Ballard is pretty short.
I’m likely a massive cynic, but I once believed the Red Cross was doing good work around the world. I once thought the same of UNICEF. There’s been articles about the advocates for juveniles in detention facilities being found guilty of crimes like CP possession and abuse.
So I’m now immediately skeptical of anyone “running a non-profit” to help kids being trafficked.
Can anyone discuss what OUR’s “conduct on stings” might be that have received criticism? I know Ballard was on Trump’s sex trafficking partnership, but I also didn’t realize it ended in September of 2020…
I’ll keep looking. But I was hoping for interviews or other leads from before the movie was made, from survivors, or any other sources that aren’t the non-profit itself.
Trust but verify.
Somehow it seems like the Holy Spirit telling me to, “take a closer look and be skeptical” is not going to be well received here.
But thanks for the info and advice, as always.
