This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Yes, it is a challenge. I think the answer is it is an individual choice and our bodies change as we age. In my experience the less fat I eat, the more I lose weight and my numbers go down. So it works physically, but is ultimately unsustainable long term because I don't find it satisfying. Lately I am trying to do the moderate route of less carbs(especially gluten) and a bit less fat, and zero fats before lunch, usually a fruit smoothie for breakfast.
I’ve been doing the fruit smoothies too. I’m really enjoying it. But I usually use Berry’s. They had the least carbs in them.
Yeah I like to add some greens as well. Cilantro has actually become a zesty favorite lately and it supposedly detoxes the liver.
Good to know because I love cilantro. And yes, it does. Have a wonderful flavor. I try and buy a weekly now and cut it up in advance. We put it on all kinds of different things. Love love, love, cilantro.
Also, we have a ranch market nearby. Today I got.
A huge watermelon for $4 I’m using that to make watermelon juice with a little bit of lime juice in it. It’s great for your heart and many other things in your body.
I got pineapples for $.99 each I’m going to cut these up, and use some for fruit, but the rest for my fruit smoothies
I got strawberries two packages for $1.50. I bought four of them. I’m going to cut some up and then I’m going to purée the rest. I make a delicious homemade strawberry ice cream.
I get the very large container of blueberries for $.99 each. I’ve been buying these, and then freezing them for my fruit smoothies. It’s way cheaper than buying the already frozen fruit.
Blackberries and raspberries for $1.50 each
I eat berries every day for breakfast. I love them. They have the least amount of carbs, and the best impact on your health! I love, love, love my berries 😁
