Archbishop of York says opening of Lord's Prayer 'Our Father' is problematic for those who have been abused. Obviously this man in his silly costume does not understand the context of God as Father throughout the Bible. Is it any wonder the church is losing faithful followers - it is not people losing faith and trust in the Bible it's the leadership spouting nonsense!

I can see the problem. The prayer includes the word "father." We can't have that in today's society. Besides that, God is the ultimate father because he created us.
The Archbishops of York have been saying nonsense like this for decades, there was one in the 1970's that said that God doesn't necessarily exist except as a metaphor. A metaphor for what?
archbishops should serve a term of 10 years and then get reduced to parish priests again. give them some humility.
