Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I generally don’t let people bother me when I’m driving. If they wanna go faster I get over. If I want to go faster I get over and just go around.
The thing I find most frustrating is cars. That drive in groups on the freeway. It’s like sheep… And they want to. I’ll stay in these little groups.
If I’m getting on the freeway, or off the freeway, and there’s one of these little groups around me, I just step on it. I may speed for a little while, but then I dropped my speed down once I get past everyone.
I have a Dodge charger, I love my car, I love driving my car, and it’s hard to be depressed when I’m in my dodge charger. 🤣😂
It’s nice having a vehicle that has the power to get around, others, when they’re in your way. Did I say I love my Dodge charger?
Edit: after reading, pepesee Merging! Getting on the freeway and trying to merge into traffic, or getting off the freeway. I’m trying to merge out of traffic, is ridiculous in Arizona. But then again, I found some of the worst drivers in here in Arizona. I grew up in California. I learn to drive in Los Angeles. People in Los Angeles know how to drive, they know how to keep the flow of traffic going, and they just do it. It’s as if every retard in the nation has moved to Arizona and it’s still learning to drive. But I’m one of those people so there’s that. 🤣😂🤣😂
Well, you are right about one thing. People here drive fast. Sometimes really fast. 85+.
But not everyone, people like to drive in groups. But there’s always people that are driving way over the speed limit, and I let them go faster than me, because I want them to get a ticket not myself. As long as you’re 75 and under, you’re not gonna get pulled over at all. But if you get up in to 80 you’re pushing it. Anything over 80 you’re gonna get pulled over.
But yes, people like to drive in these little sheep groups. I do my best to avoid them, or just go around. I have no problem, stepping on it, and going up into a higher speed in the 90s, but then immediately I drop my speed back down afterwards.
I can’t tell you the last time I had a traffic in fraction it’s been well over 10 years maybe 15. One of the advantages I do have however, is that there are a lot of dodge chargers that are cop cars here. Especially under cover. So I think that gives me some leeway.
Yes, I am so grateful for my vehicle. It was given to me, by my father, and the Lord. Just a blessing basically.
After my father passed, I did a couple good things with the money he gave me. One of them was purchased a vehicle with Cash. I bought it in California at the time, and there’s a dealership that was selling lifetime, bumper-to-bumper warranty’s. Well, I hopped on that right away, and that warranty is still good to this day. All I pay is $100 co-pay for any mechanical failures. All I cover his maintenance, tires, brakes, oil, changes, and lightbulbs.
I got my car in 2015, and it’s in pristine condition. I take very good care of it.
I love my vehicle! I love my car so much, and I’m so grateful to my dad, and to the Lord, for blessing me with it.
It’s one of the parts of my life, that I live carefree. I think that’s what we’re missing these days is being carefree about things.
I’m driving my mom to the doctor today, it’s gonna be a great ride.
I do agree with you at some point, because everybody has to be on the same page or it doesn’t work. As bad as traffic and getting Southern California, it’s still not as bad as driving in Arizona. Never go full retard.
