It was always intended to be an empty virtue signal. They’ll keep their land while promoting a narrative that, if it takes hold, will lead to other people’s land being confiscated. There is no serious counterforce seeking to pry their land away from them like they are with our land. Us pointing out their by hypocrisy does nothing and at no point will this actually work against them.
