I'm thinking McCarthy may end up in the Presidential spot soon enough! He would hold it down until Trump made his comeback, I believe.

I know this sounds stupid but I remember the Big O talking about this and claimed its been documented. That if a Dem pres and/or Dem vp should be removed from office the previous Dem administration comes in temporarily until next election for continuity of govt. Yes, I know what you will say. I distinctly remember he said it was agreed upon at DNC.
Not per the statutory scheme of succession. Contrary to Constitution. Would constitute a coup. In any case, it would clearly be seen as such.
