I'm thinking McCarthy may end up in the Presidential spot soon enough! He would hold it down until Trump made his comeback, I believe.

Yeah, doesnt work like that. If they get past the race baiters, FJB would nom a replacement, then the Senate would have to vote to approve … just like Appointees for Cabinet positions.
