I mean of all the posters you you could possibly choose for some dude living in Chicago and they chose this one? There's been a lot of interesting themes on this series centered around hard work, following through, respect, family struggles, mental health and other real world, daily life themes. Lot of language definitely not kiddo friendly... but some solid entertainment.
I've never understood the entertainment industry's obsession with F-bombs. I don't encounter people flinging F-bombs in daily life, yet if you were to base American life by what is depicted in movies and cable TV, you would think F-bombs are the go to expletive used by everyone.
If you’ve worked in commercial kitchens, you’d know why; it’s pretty much standard everywhere. The show portrays kitchen life quite well.
I know that F-bombs are common with blue-collar workers, but the entertainment industry makes it seem like every college-educated worker in America uses them in every sentence. I did notice that more people started flinging them in the past 10 years, but that is probably because they had seen it so often in the movies and TV. Funny how the entertainment industry can change society.
If every F-bomb said in the shop turned into a penny, I'd be a millionaire by now.
Fair but in some professional worlds it is dropped like candy at a kid's party. Pretty much every other moment in the military was covered in it and most professional kitchens will have it constantly. I don't know how much time you spend in Chicago but it definitely is dropped more there than pretty much anywhere I've ever been in my life...
But it was MUCH more limited a couple decades ago. I think the media's widespread use is the reason. I can't think of any other reason.
My wife has been watching this. Perhaps I need to pay attention.
What's this show about?
Chicago beef restaurant that gets turned into a Michelin star restaurant by a good psychopath and a pretty entertaining team.
