Supporting taking down the Cabal doesn't mean that a person wasn't/isn't a part of it. Everyone is an insider. Some are still insiders. You don't become an insider by being a good person.

There are those who play the game because they have to. There are those who play the game because they want to. Now that the game is over (presumably), those who played the game by force(ish) are likely happy to work towards the destruction of the Cabal. That doesn't mean they didn't do bad shit in the past to become "successful", it just means they are working towards a future where no one has to play The Game at all (hopefully).
