Yanno, people just don't have any sense. This person's sense left long before the day he got run over. I saw some article today about kids playing on railroad tracks. ???? I see people, all the time, crossing the street and they don't even look for cars. Don't get me started on the driving. FAFO.
Worst spanking I got as a kid was after I ran out into a road and almost got hit by a car. My mom whooped my ass. Right there in front of the whole congregation shaking my dad's hand after the service. But I never did that again.
I went to high school with an amazing guy who had one arm, both his legs and other arm he lost in an accident playing on a railroad. He got around on a skateboard, pushing it with his arm. He was a great friend, but he thought it was funny to swim beneath me in the neighborhood pool and yank me underwater with that one good (strong) arm.
FAFO
On steroids.

That's pretty amazing that he still got around! What kind of person would not get out of the way of a train, though?
