I dunno about those 8 billion. The UN is de source and I am not so sure about the validity of that number.

However, I think, to be quite self centered, 1 billion Europeans and Americans should totally undermine this.

I find it interesting the the basis of their resistance is cash and the crypto's on the market.

During the American Revolution Brittain also tried to devastate the monetary system in the US.
