244 Abp. Vigano: "How much longer does it take for good Catholics - and above all Cardinals, Bishops and priests - to realise that they are governed by a cupola of traitors and renegades, at the orders of the enemies of God and the Church?" Roman Catholic tradition doesn't forbid it.
However, the Word of God forbids communicating with the dead. It was a sin punishable by stoning in the Old Testament.
The New Testament tells us the Messiah is the only mediator.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Catholics teach we need to pray to Mary because she's the Mediatrix between us and Jesus. Definitely not Biblical teaching there...
if there were only one interpretation of scripture, there would only be one denomination of Christianity. The practise of praying to Mary is neither encouraged nor forbidden in the Bible. Pray the way you want. Just have faith.
