We've been dealing with this for the past year and it's been a bittersweet work of God in our lives. I have placed my son in God's hands and I don't ask for his cancer to be cured, even though that would satisfy my earthly desires. I do, however, ask that my son allow himself to be touched and used by God in a powerful way in the time he has left on this earth, however long that may be. He does have a strong faith, but he is very hesitant to put himself out there and allow his story to show how amazing God has been. Please pray that his faith would be transformed in a way that would bring light and life to those that need it, bringing glory to God. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
(I know you are curious about our approach to cancer, even though this post is not what this is about. We are throwing everything at it, including all of the alternative things mentioned here from time to time.)
Dear Lord, your Word tells us that you are the potter & we are the clay. It also tells us that your Word will not return to you void. Form us into the men & women you want us to be. Guide our paths & embolden us with your faith that no matter the circumstances that come our way, we can confess Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior to those around us who both need to hear & be reminded of this Gospel message.
Please send healing to this beloved son, and shine light on the path you have for him. Nurture his faith to bear the fruit you have given him to bear to the Glory of your Holy name. I ask this in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
Nice
Amen!
Great words, thank you!
