Defense expert Brandon Weichart warned recently that a new report by the NSA and the Five Eyes Intel network has admitted: China is ready and able to shut down America’s critical infrastructure networks at any time. This operation is called “Operation Volt Typhoon.” China has inserted “electronic time bombs” throughout our computer networks (using a weakness in Windows) on a scale never seen before.
Mr. Weichert believes that China is ready to launch a “Cyber Pearl Harbor” on America in order to disable the West’s capabilities — possibly to stop us from contesting an invasion of Taiwan.
. . . Over at Red State, Jennifer Van Laar was able to confirm last month that Dong Jingwei, the highest-ranking Chinese defector ever to fall into our hands, is indeed in the custody of the DIA and he has brought with him information “that SARS-CoV-2 was manmade and leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, in addition to evidence confirming that the People’s Liberation Army managed the Wuhan bioweapons program (and others).”
Why is this defection important? As Van Laar reports: “sources told Red State that the FBI, the State Department, and CIA were intentionally kept in the dark about the fact that the defector was working with the DIA.”
Why did DIA hold Dong Jingwei away from the FBI and the CIA? Because “the fact that the FBI had a lot of this information from [Chinese virologist] Yan [Li-Meng] for more than a year and nothing to investigate or validate it makes it easy to understand why this defector wanted nothing to do with the CIA or, especially, the FBI.”
In other words, the CIA and the FBI are compromised.
Yes. I know all this.
Taiwan is more of a conundrum than Ukraine for a number of reasons, and we -- the real America -- have reasons to both want Taiwan kept out of the hands of the murderous CCP and yet want to have the embedded Deep State elements there rooted out.
And that's just the start of the problems. I'd love to believe that Xi will do the right thing and keep Taiwan a relatively free place for the residents there but given how he's been treating the mainland Chinese and how freedom has nearly vanished in Hong Kong, I'm not optimistic.
How does that fit with the idea that Xi is part of the plan? I don't know, but I'll say this: just because Xi wants to get China free of Cabal influence (and is therefore the enemy of our enemy) doesn't make him a saint. Or even a champion of freedom. Trump is one thing; Xi is probably a very different personality.
As always, we'll see when we see.
