Amen.
Not true. Jesus told the rich, young ruler, who asked Jesus "What must I do to inherit eternal life", that all it would cost is everything he held more dear than Jesus. (Luke 14:26-33 is one of three times this story is mentioned in the Bible)
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Jesus paid the price. You didn't pay the price.
Amen!
God Blesses His Beloved Children with His Grace!🙌
Luke 14:25 is Jesus speaking to the crowds about the cost of being a disciple. He's saying that your relationship with Christ must come above all earthly things, or you will eventually be brought down by them.
Salvation is free, the walk with God is what costs everything, the reward is priceless -Eternity in heaven with God face to face in one of His many rooms He is preparing in His mansion.
Amen
The unknowing won't understand the difference between being released from their PAST sins and moving forward having to follow Christ which will entail quite a life change. This is why I posted. Without the true cost known, one can easily think they are "free in Christ" to do whatever they do like in prosperity gospel. I just don't like signs like this - nothing is free moving forward. The past is forgiven, and yes that is quite a comfort for some. But others follow "preachers" who never help them count the cost required everyday forward.
"This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."
