Some countries the legal age is 12, but I always heard it's 18 in U.S. I was told that when asked to pull my teeth. No parents signature, no pulling. That's in Oregon, blue state.

I understand what you are saying though. Seems like kids are growing up faster now.

Different states have different ages of consent. Some specify the legally permitted age difference between the parties if one of them is below a certain age.
