I couldn't believe I heard a local "news" anchor say that! I've NEVER heard of any bomb being called a "munition" when it comes to reporting. Imagine if there had been stories about the "munitioning" of London, or dropping an atomic "munition". The media people are just so sleazy in their reporting. If they don't outright lie, or just omit, they hide/distort (I'm going blank on the best word to describe this since I just woke up :) ) like in this case.

They aren't 'Daisy Cutters' anymore?
I had to look that up: A daisy cutter is a type of fuse or bomb that detonates at or above ground level. It can refer to a fuse that has a long probe attached to the bomb’s nose, which triggers the explosion if it touches the ground or any solid object. It can also refer to a bomb that is dropped from an aircraft and explodes just above the ground, releasing smaller explosives over a large area
Yes. That
An innocuous name for a lethal weapon.
Daisy Cutters are probably still in use and very effective in the right application.
We have to be careful not to give these creatures ideas. Sleepy Joe will realise there are wonderful new toys for his Ukrainian friends to play with.
The Russians would find that tedious and boring, then ramp up their favourite toys, artillery and hypersonic missiles as a gentle reminder to the Ukrainians that they are playing by "big boys rules" now.
