This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Edit again Found a link. I'm posting this because this happened to a pharmaceutical company. Karma (God) or not I don't know but it crossed my mind. They have told employees not to come to work. My thoughts and prayers are with those employees and others affected by this damage across the county.
Phizer Tornado
Major damage by tornado to Phizer. Link is a live feed. You can rewind on YouTube. I think this area is storage but not sure. Heard some people were taken to ER.
Nash County, North Carolina tornado damage. A tornado that touched down near Rocky Mount, North Carolina, caused major damage east of Raleigh Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

I believe it was God. I haven't heard of any serious injuries at Phizer. I think a few deaths in other areas of the county. It was an EF3 tornado. The storm changed direction. Sadly those employees might be out of jobs if they don't rebuild.

I understand what you are saying and can almost agree. That Phizer is probably the biggest place of employment in that county and the neighboring county. I'm thinking about the people that could be out work. It's easy to say find a job working for a good moral company. Most other jobs in rural eastern NC are min wage to about $20.00 an hour. If those people lose their jobs they will make it. Just might be hard for a while. Just like other families my family at times had to adjust to substantial increase in income. It's always do able. We all have to figure out our path in life when thrown a curve ball.
