That was jaw-dropping to read.

The AI literally calculated how to lie, then lied, pseudo-apologized only after being caught in each new lie, then did the same thing again and again—each time giving a mealy-mouthed gobbledygook non-answer as to why it lied, before blithely proceeding to lie again.

Exactly like a politician.

Why bother having elections of actual Homo sapiens? Just stick an AI robot in the Oval Office; it couldn't possibly do any worse than whoever is the impostor standing in for the fraudulent traitor occupying the thing now.
