I never once said I hate trans-people. I hate the promotion of a mental illness. What anyone does in their own home is no business of mine, but when it is being promoted at this level, there is a problem. Our youth are extremely impressionable and shouldn't be subjected to it. It is hard enough to raise kids in today's world...you being ok with it being promoted is the real problem here...
Fwiw, Throwing Church Lady hissy fits about something makes that something instantly alluring and powerfully tempting to our "extremely impressionable youth".
Its fascinating to watch good hearteds getting duped into adopting tactics that have, throughout history, including recent American history, only helped to advance the agenda of evil doers.
Christ's tactics versus Pharisee tactics? We each decide.
I wasn't throwing a "church lady hissy fit". I don't even attend church, nor am I part of any organized religion and find God in nature and within myself. There is a difference between what happens behind closed doors and flashing it loudly on the big screen in an attempt to target our kids...and no, it wasn't fussing about it that backfired, it was the normalization of it, period...
I did not intend to suggest that YOU were throwing a "church lady hissy fit". I was making a general observation, expressing genuine concerns about the resumption, by some, of failed tactics from the past.
Bottom line, sincere apologies since how I shared my real concerns about current tactics was taken personally and that was not my intent.
Ill try to add disclaimer/clarifiers next time. Ill also try to be more mindful in the future of my word choices to avoid using potentially triggering words that decrease the chances of being accurately heard and accurately understood.
Hopefully, that way, your "periods" and mine will eventually be in sync. 😘
no problem, it only triggered laughter...auto flashback of older relatives, always in church on Sunday mornings then as soon as services end, talking about the friend and what they wore to church or who they sat by 🤦♀️ Soooo much negativity from alot of church-goers I grew up with, and never could understand them for that...
