Shouldn't we be trying to get the bad ones out and from having any say so over us? Seems just praying for them while allowing them to do as they please with our $$ isn't working out too well, on my wallet at least. We NEED to get the bad ones out of there...break the cycles...Make America Godly Again...
Perhaps my experience with the power of prayer is different than those who refer to it as just praying. Since I too used to share that attitude but now I dont, I dont mean to condemn others for thinking that way. Instead, I try to share my own witness, pose questions and suggest other ways of looking at things.
My attitude is that since Matt Gaetz represents a district of Florida voters its THEIR responsibility to choose who they want to represent them.
My responsibility, imo, is to pray for Matt rather than to prey on him since he's not my representative and he's obviously been used as distracting outrage bait for years; especially since becoming an outspoken Trump/Q+ ally.
Saying AAs Serenity Prayer, can be an easy way to learn how to distinguish between what's within ones control ie ones responsibility and what's a distraction temptation, even for people who don't drink.
While I appreciate the sentiments behind a desire to Make America Godly Again, I also hope those deploying this slogan ask themselves how Godly will be defined, by whom and how it would be enforced.
Finally, needs and wants have been intentionally conflated so people now sincerely believe that what they want is what they need. Trump tried to inspire people with ears to hear to start differentiating between wants and needs with his now iconic first rally ending song.
Consequently, I hope, and pray :-), people will be mindful of the countless warnings throughout history to beware of making wishes because they just might be granted.
Granted wishes unleash tragic lessons about the unintended consequences that happen when humans get what they want only to discover it was NOT what they wanted at all.
Perhaps that's why the ONLY prayer Christ taught His followers to say starts by telling Our Father that we want His will (not ours) to be done here on earth?
Yet it is also our responsibility to see something, say something. If we are on to someone possibly being a wolf in sheep's clothing, then why wouldn't you want to call it out to help others make a more informed decision? Isn't that what this whole movement is about?? Waking people up?? Q also said 'you are the news now', btw...multiple times...therefore, I bring you...the latest news on Matt Gaetz...
