As a former medical transcriptionist I can vouch that tech can replace workers. I am a "victim" of 'Voice To Text.' A doctor does not dictate a medical record to the transcriptionist. It is made into text via computer and, in the case of a native English-speaking physician, it is nearly perfect.

The only saving thing for the worker are the ESL doctors (gobs and oodles of those now), who garble the VTT reports to the point that the only way to accuracy is the trained human ear.
