I don’t believe death bed confessions equal salvation. Only God can tell if there is genuine repentance and faith in the heart. One thief on the cross didn’t even ask for forgiveness, only for Christ to remember Him when He came into His Kingdom. That mustard seed faith was enough for the Lord to say to him, ‘today you will be with me in paradise’ That thief also defended Christ to the other one showing he had a change of heart.
