Whether true or not, in general it's perfectly credible. He sounds lucid and sane, even though not remorseful about the killings (possibly because they did as he alleges and thus deserved what they got). His tears and anxiety are all perfectly normal for either a schizoid freak; or, alternatively, someone who's been abused and drugged their whole life. (It's not clear which one in this case)
