What needs to be understood is that we arent arming Ukraine to protect Ukrainians. We're arming them to kill Russians. If Ukraine musters their whole force under a few strongholds protected by Patriot missile batteries, they can live on indefinitely, as long as we keep the replacement rate of batteries and missiles roughly on par with the destruction rate. The second they advance beyond the coverage provided by Patriot batteries, they're screwed. But Russia is content to sit outside range and hold the Donbass and Crimea. So if NATO is going to get any use out of these armaments, Ukraine needs to attack. So attack they do
