I do suggest looking online for copycat recipes and "make your own" recipes and videos. Many people are unaware how easy it is to make your own of most things we think we 'have to buy.
Butter and buttermilk, Catsup, spaghetti sauce, pasta, meatballs, bread, mayo, etc.
You still have to find base ingredients, hopefully from good suppliers. It is nice to have the choice though, to be unteathered from the local store.
Even restaurant copycats are usually very good. I recommend Todd Wilbur's "Top Secret Recipes" line of cookbooks.
Not everyone has trained their taste buds to a more natural palette. This is an easy step to getting what you want with healthier ingredients and control of what is going in your body.
