If you put in a new mixing valve, they have the restriction now, and would be a lot harder to fix. The actual shower head is easy to fix.....
I much prefer the old bulbs, when I visit friends and family with the new bulbs the light seams very white and harsh. And I always do the opposite of what the govt wants. I'm not sure of what their game is here, but I'm sure their up to no good.
I still have several hundred, from the last time they were banned.......
Fuk it I buy some more.
I still have my shower valve from the mid 60's. It blasts out water like a fire hose. If you've never had a real shower you are missing out.
Unscrew shower head, remove water flow restricter (piece of plastic), screw back on. Rinse, repeat.
Restrictions are also in the new valves.
I put a new shower head on a few years ago, I drilled the holes out to a number 40.
I have so much water pressure, I only turn it on half way.
Nice. a #40 is almost a .100" diam. hole.
Yes I thought about stepping some of them up to a #30 hole, but I tried it and it worked just fine.

Kek.
It’s all about choosing Color temp of the LED lamps. 2700K is yellow like incandescent and it goes white to blue the higher the number.
