There are many communities in rule, places that vote for dark skies. This means that at night they don’t want a bunch of artificial light in their area. This allows for a more peaceful environment at night, and allows you to actually see the stars. It’s a thing. And it’s a thing in many places.
However, trying to expect that to happen in the middle of San Francisco, it’s probably at the bottom of their list. They’re trying to kill us. So of course they’re gonna make it so it’s less easy for you to sleep.
True. Although little by little cities could be changed to accommodate for dark skies. Like lighting sidewalks and not the sky above. It's possible although sounds crazy.
Sidewalk lighting to a degree that would be needed would A) be extremely expensive, and all that money goes to illegals and B) still end up creating light pollution.

That’s very clever idea. I’m sure I could be done with LEDs no problem.
