CDC: Researchers Suggest Leprosy May Become Endemic in Florida

A study published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows the number of reported leprosy cases doubled in the last decade.

It would be interesting to see what percentage of the 159 new cases were found in the invaders. Two other thoughts...first is that armadillos can carry the Mycobacterium leprae bacteria associated with leprosy so wearing rubber gloves when handling dead armadillos is advisable. Second is more of a question...does ivermectin kill this bacteria (not that the CDC would ever leak a cure).
