Churches have been targeted. The Methodist church has actually resisted successfully for a long time, but essentially it has been a story of infiltration, open defiance of the charter, false compromise by the infiltrators that ratchets up to the next round of defiance. The gay lobby effectively captured the western state organizational conference that way, and is trying the same in other regions as well as nationally. They hold local congregations' mortgage as hostage if a congregation disagrees with the conference, to kick them out of the property if they reject sodomite doctrine. They'd love a schism to seize those and other assets of the church. A lot of the congregations can fight, but the ones in the western conference are in a bad position, other conferences are much better off.
