In that one sentence you have the essence of Liberalism. "We've known for a long time..." No, asshole, you have ASSUMED for a long time. You really KNOW nothing, and you have no facts to support your assumptions.

If one starts out at the very outset of a program under a false premise, the Immutable Law of Unintended Consequences will rear its head, and I just love to watch from the sidelines as stupid people do stupid things.
