Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.
That is actually pretty sick and twisted. Although… Japan doesn’t have a pretty good Disneyland over there.
But why? Why would you treat a family member so poorly. I never understood why people like to do sick twisted things like this to another human. Especially a child.
But then again. Not so sure that taking your family member to Disney nowadays, is any different than taking them to a burnt down warehouse. Both are almost like human trafficking. Either place you end up, you know something bad is gonna happen to you.
Hahahaha, my uncle though he actually was the milkman's son almost until his teens because my grandpa would mess with him so much.
They asked him at school who his dad was, you can imagine lol
That’s so wrong on so many levels.
It’s bad enough people don’t know who their fathers are, because so many fathers leave, or women forced the fathers to leave.
But you have a father, and then your own grandfather cars doubt in your mind. That is some sick and twisted stuff.
It's a Jack Handey quote from Saturday Night Live. I've never been to Disneyland in America. Screw that place. PepeSee caught the reference. Here's another one:
Laurie got offended that I used the word "puke." But to me, that's what her dinner tasted like.
