I still have a real hard time believing that Team Trump was caught flat-footed by Pence refusing to contest the election results. Or that Trump had no idea of how his own VP was going to vote in that hearing. My guess is that Team Trump did the calculus of kicking the results back to the states and figured it was a dead end.
