Yes that is what it means. But the actual meaning of that is what I’m looking for. I know it. But just seeing if other folks have picked it up yet.
WWG1WGA == a warning to sailors, on ocean going vessels, about how to survive when at sea.
This warning is often engraved on the ships bell that's next to where the captain stands when addressing his crew.
WWG1WGA == Follow the captains directions. Do your job. You're part of a team. Everyone's survival depends on everyone elses self discipline and willingness to do their part and follow directions.
WWG1WGA was inscribed on the ships bell seen in a movie clip Q linked.
You Tube. Official movie trailer. White Squall.
The crew of the Albatross survived the White Squall/ the freakishly powerful ocean Storm because they were able, thanks to their training, to remain calm, take orders, do their jobs and function as a team.
Consequently, in their case, WWG1WGA did NOT mean the ship sank in The Storm and they all drowned. It meant the ship did not sink and most of them made it home. Their survival was considered miraculous.
WWG1WGA =/= sitting around during The Storm waiting for the captain to save everyone.
