Conversely, if we stopped burning fossil fuels then less oxygen would be bound to carbon so there would be more left over?
However, CO2 is at quite a low at the moment. If it drops to half what it is now then we will have a problem with plant life on the planet. We think CO2 levels have been about 18 times as much in the past and maybe even more when we did not have any oxygen.
Did you know oxygen was an early, deadly, pollutant? It removed life from the surface of the planet and drove it into the sea and around undersea volcanic vents where the oxygen could not reach.
Oxygen is mildew's/mold worst enemy
I didn't know that, thanks for the info.
