Claim is hurricane winds plus low humidity. Doesn't mean someone didn't start it purposely though. Maybe Maui needs a bailout like Cali does when they start their own fires.

They showed an aerial image (video) during an interview with the Lt Gov about the emergency. The pattern of the fire looked suspicious to me as it showed there were a half dozen fires with space between them in a row. I bet they don't show that again.
