he didnt ruin the US handshake. Slavery isnt a state rights issue. It clearly goes against he Constitution and the Christian Values it was written with. He was also anti bank which almost certainly got him killed.

this argument...mUh sTaTe rIGhTs regarding slavery is just asinine and makes us all look stupid.
