Remember Bertie (George VI) and David’s (Edward-never-crowned-abdicated) brother Johnny? Had epilepsy and was hushed up and hidden away. Didn’t Queen Vicky refer to one of her nephews (one of the Romanovs that the queen wanted to cure thus bringing in Mr-Demon-Rasputin) as “deformed” and mentioned that they weren’t to acknowledge deformities?

Sad about the two girls, too.
