I placed a small disc magnet on my wife's arm where she had the "booster". It was neither attracted nor repelled. It fell off immediately.

They are not all the same, batches varied quite a bit. The Japanese govt tested them and found out they had 4 different amounts of active ingredients. This link also showes that.
