I bet they could find a huge amount of workers if they'd cut deadbeats off the public dole. Wanna make someone work, take away their free food, free housing, free medical care. They'd get the hint real quick that feeding themselves and their family is far more important than trying to scam the system. Now, if there is a qualified genuine medical condition, then society needs to assist those folks, but if you eat too much and are overweight, then I bet a good steady diet of hard work will cut away at the flab.
