Ok, that is a good explanation. Thank you. The leaves on the trees though would at least be consumed by the flames? IDK Im so doom pilled I see these things and assume its something nefarious.
Depends on how close they were to the burning house, temperature falls off pretty fast with distance plus the hot air is rising straight up not spreading across the ground.
