Willing to at least try to reduce the amount of fluoride ingested in my local area, as well as setting up more counter-measures in case there are disruptions in water treatment and supply. What are your opinion on those clay and soapstone filters, and the ones that aim to kill germs with UV-light exposure ?

I have a UV light in my hvac system. Can't say it has helped/hurt. It uses a little more juice as its on when the furnace is on.
I use an undersink RO system connected to a well for drinking water. I change the filters regularly. Apex water makes the brand. If money werent an option I would seek out all USA made components.
