Freedom of religion is the first of the five rights in the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. I say these seniors refuse to comply and hold a Bible study anyway. Civil Disobedience. Make the controlling “authority” do something stupid or back down.

Remember, this amendment came to be because various Christian sects came to America to escape persecution by the Anglican Church - the state church of that time. It has always meant the freedom to preach. And then FDR stepped in and changed its meaning.
