After Hurricane Ida, I went through closets and dressers for clothing to donate. ALL of the items were in excellent condition - some still had original tags. My dad and my husband brought these to the Red Cross emergency office. The woman there asked, "What is this?". They told her clothing. She said, "We don't want that. We take donations if you want to write a check." They told her never mind and brought the clothing to a Church that was handing out clothing and supplies to the people. Many of these whom my brothers and I had gone to school with and who had their homes totally destroyed. There were bags of items people had donated at the Red Cross place that they had put out for garbage pick up.

Another time and in another area, after flooding rains, friends of mine had gone to help clean up. The Red Cross said they had food for volunteers. My friends went to grab a bite. The Red Cross gave them 1 tablespoon full of red beans with the same amount of rice and 1 slice of white bread. Wish my old computer had not crashed because I had a picture.

All the Red Cross is good for is providing boxes for criminals to send cash like Obama did with Iran.
