Have you noticed that musicians who did this for decades now cannot get through shows, something goes wrong midway through, or tours get cancelled entirely? Seems like something has thrown them off and weighs on their mind very heavily. Lady GaGa cancelled a show midway through, due to a light rain and was crying afterward talking about "I tried to carry on for you guys and I can't...."
